To start the 2001 WCF, David Robinson did a good job of slowing down Shaq in Games 1 and 2. In Game 3, however, Shaq totally crushed Robinson and he was powerless to try and stop Shaq. Robinson played OK defense on Shaq in Game 4, but the Spurs were blown out so quickly that it didn't matter.

Considering that Robinson was well past his best years and that Shaq was at his absolute best, he did a solid job in defending Shaq for the overall series.
