Nineteen North Koreans entered the United States as refugees last year,... bringing the total number to two-hundred-eleven.
Radio Free Asia reports that among the total settled in the U.S. 128 are women and 83 are men.
The United States has been accepting North Koreans as refugees since 2004 when Congress enacted the North Korean Human Rights Act.
Twenty-nine of the refugees live in California, followed by Kentucky , Illinois , New York and Colorado .
Those between the ages of 21 and 40 accounted for more than half the total.
Those 65 and older accounted for less than one percent.
