In this week’s episode of LA Diaries, Kinsey Schofield reacts to Prince Harry’s acceptance of the Pat Tillman Award for Service, after weeks of backlash for the honour.
Plus, Kinsey receives exclusive insight from inside this year’s ESPYs from an attendee.
Harry received the gong at the ESPYs in the US, being recognised for founding the Invictus Games. The Pat Tillman Award for Service is named after former NFL player and US Army Ranger Pat Tillman, who was killed in Afghanistan in 2004.
The mother of Pat Tillman was unhappy with ESPN’s decision to give the award that bears her son’s name to “a controversial and divisive figure”. Over 77,000 people signed a petition for the Duke to have the award revoked.
