A 56-year-old woman has been arrested in Akron and charged with operating an illegal gambling house in the 200 block of East Market Street.

Following an investigation, Akron police officers executed a search warrant at the location around 10:25 p.m. Wednesday night.

“During the operation, officers seized nearly two dozen gambling machines, two handguns, electronics and over $7,000 in cash,” according to a press release from the Akron Police Department.

The woman’s name was not released, but police did provide multiple photos from the investigation.
