The first hole at Kirkby Lonsdale is a gentle opener at 344 yards from the white tees to a fairway that drops off at 220 yards. Leading to undulations before a very small ditch protecting the front of the approach to the green, also two bunkers on the right hand side and the Barbon Beck to the left await the errant approach shot.
