I watched and edited the best part of the infamous 2015 NHL Draft where Connor McDavid went 1st overall. It was a draft for the ages, for many different reasons.
The most interesting part was Boston's 3 picks in a row 13th - 14th - 15th where they passed on many future NHL stars like Kyle Connor, Mathew Barzal, and Thomas Chabot and instead took players that were ranked much lower.
13. Boston Bruins* Jakub Zboril
14. Boston Bruins Jake DeBrusk
15. Boston Bruins* Zachary Senyshyn
16. NY Islanders* Mathew Barzal
17. Winnipeg Jets Kyle Connor
18. Ottawa Senators Thomas Chabot
We will always wonder, what could have been!
And what will the 2022 NHL Draft in Montreal bring? Will Shane Wright or Juraj Slafkovsky or even Logan Cooley go first overall?
