Gov. Tim Walz issued an emergency executive order to activate the Minnesota National Guard to help rescue stranded motorists for the upcoming storm that could drop close to two feet of snow on the metro area. “Over the next few days, our message is really simple, just use common sense. Think twice before you leave to drive, if you need to drive,” said Col. Matt Langer with the Minnesota State Patrol.
