Xgimi's Horizon Max projector also features a built-in gimbal that aims to simplify setup by scanning walls and finding the best position to project your video.
If you want a giant screen that doesn't take up an entire wall, a projector is what you need. Xgimi's latest projectors take this concept to the next level between the Horizon Max, which can switch projection walls on the fly, and the Aladdin, which fits seamlessly into your room by doubling as a ceiling light.
Xgimi says the Horizon Max is the first IMAX Enhanced projector with enhanced capabilities. A true IMAX theater in your home would cost millions, but the IMAX Enhanced certification process aims to lower that cost. These projectors meet specific requirements for resolution, color, brightness, contrast and sound. With IMAX Enhanced certification, the Horizon Max projector automatically recognizes IMAX Enhanced content, such as some Marvel movies on Disney+, and scales it to the IMAX 1.9:1 aspect ratio.
The projector has a 4K resolution (although Xgimi didn't specify whether it's regular or upscaled) and uses a triple laser system with dual illumination to achieve greater brightness and a wider range of colors.
The company also announced a second projector, the Aladdin. It combines a ceiling lamp and a speaker system, which should make it easier to install, while avoiding some common mistakes inherent in projectors. Just replace the ceiling lamp with an Aladdin and you no longer have to worry about people standing in front of the projector.
