VM live migrations are daily practice in the operation of modern clouds. But sometimes we need to move a VM from one storage to another. In this workshop, we’ll make a live demo of storage migration between different technologies. Attendees will be able to see what happens under the hood when a volume is migrated and what are the challenges. You'll also have the chance to participate in the open technical discussion and help the community with your valuable insight and knowledge on live storage migration. Venko Moyankov, Solutions Architect at StorPool Storage Venko Moyankov is a skilled system administrator and solutions architect at StorPool storage. He has experience with managing large virtualizations, working in telcos, designing and supporting the infrastructure of large enterprises. In addition, Venko has implemented various cloud management systems and helping numerous companies in building their own clouds. In the past two years, his focus has been helping companies globally to build the best storage solution according to their needs and projects.

Taking place over 5 days (November 8 – 12), the CloudStack Collaboration Conference 2021 was the first virtual annual get-together of the Apache CloudStack community. It was attended by over 420 people from over 25 countries, from leading enterprises, cloud and IaaS providers, managed service providers, software providers and telcos. The Conference proved to be a resounding success for our community, attracting not only those with extensive experience with CloudStack, but many cloud engineers and IaaS architects new to the technology.
