If you're going to participate in the competition this year, you're going to want to watch this.
This year, the competition is to make a Halligan bar, the multipurpose firefighting and rescue tool.
This is the first discussion with our experts, Andrew Pristach who is knowledgeable in all areas of the Halligan bar from specifying and designing them, to actually using them in the field, and competition judge Ben Abbott, who made a hand-forged Halligan bar for the Forged in Fire show. From SFSA's staff are Caelan Kennedy, who comes from a specialty mill steel background, and Raymond Monroe who is probably the world's foremost expert on cast steel.
This year SFSA is running our Cast in Steel Competition but in addition we're helping start the Forged in Steel and Additive in Steel competitions, under the umbrella All in Steel.
