By growing self-sufficient plants in our vegetable gardens, we grow food sustainably by reducing our dependence on pest controls, fertilisers, and other expensive inputs. We reduce our food miles, save money, and minimise the environmental issues and carbon emissions caused by mining, manufacturing, packaging, and transporting these products. GROWMAP HANDBOOK
Using the steps in the GROWMAP HANDBOOK, you’ll better understand and map your garden's growing conditions. You can then select plants that will grow well in these conditions and use trees, shrubs and other plants to improve your growing conditions. No special skills or expensive surveying equipment are required. Everyone can get involved, whether drawing the patterns of sun and shade, exploring where the water flows, looking for critters in the leaf litter, or counting earthworms!

LEARNING FROM NATURE
If you're new to our channel – Hi, I'm Dr. Wendy Seabrook, the founder and project manager of [ Ссылка ].
@LearningfromNature is a social enterprise. We help gardeners and farmers grow nutritious food relying on Nature's free ecological services instead of expensive fertilisers, pest controls and other inputs. They create resilient growing conditions better able to battle floods, drought and other extreme weather.
Wendy is a PhD ecologist with a diploma in Permaculture. She teaches highly specialised eco-logical approaches to growing food supporting farmers and food gardeners internationally over the last thirty years. Her journey isn't confined to theory and scientific papers; it involves getting her hands dirty and gaining practical skills. Through these experiences, she realised that many established organic and regenerative practices could be greatly improved and shows us how here -
