Pip Mann, Year 3 teacher at Hook Primary School in Goole, passionately believes in the benefits of learning outdoors.
Here, her students undertake numeracy activities on shape, space and measures, including weighing potatoes and measuring vegetables, which the pupils have planted and grown themselves.
They also measure the raised plant beds and finding a calm space for creativity and reflection within a small woodland area.
