I am so in love with pillow boxes. I made a ton for Christmas (perfect for teacher presents / gift cards / candy...) so I knew I wanted to make more for the kids Valentine's Day party at school. These make the best kids candy exchange. Not only do they get yummy goodies, it will be the best packaged exchange there to really make their classmates feel special. These really are not just for Valentines Day though - these would be great for little birthday party surprise bags / party favors or birthday gifts to give to classmates. Party favors are always so much fun for kids, so why not make them super pretty. I am showing you 2 (well.... 2.5) different types of "boxes" that I use all the time. I have them designed already in Cricut's Design space so if you want to go make these, head over to the link below. Also, for more details and pictures, please check out my blog post.

The pillow box is the fastest to make. It does some scoring lines (which I used my new single and double scoring wheel from Cricut - this can only be used on the Maker as it is part of the adaptive tool system). These still turn out so with the scoring stylus too. I have included 3 different sizes because it all kind of depends on what you are going to put in it. The small one is perfect for suckers (just a small modification for the stick). This was actually my favorite size for the heart candies and gum balls and Hershey's chocolates. I mean, they don't need 20 gum balls in each package so the small one is great for that. The other two sizes would be better for party favors. maybe some stickers, bouncy ball, light up rings, balloons stamps.... small things like that. The small ones I can cut six pillow boxes out of one 12x12 sheet of card stock. The other sizes I only got 2 out of one sheet of 12x12 card stock but I was also left with a good piece of scrap paper when done.
I also included an envelope shape to fit the warhead candies perfectly. I can cut 3 out of one 12x12 sheet of card stock.
