First formalised as a concept in 2013 by the Rockefeller Foundation, impact sourcing is “an inclusive employment practice through which companies in global supply chains intentionally hire and provide career development opportunities to people who otherwise would have limited prospects for formal employment.” The Na'amal Agency and EqualReach are testing an innovative model securing remote, project-based work for displaced talent and matching them with suitable projects.
This session will explore how the comprehensive approach—from training to employment—has successfully generated substantial income and opportunities for displaced individuals. We will hear from Na'amal's team, partner, EqualReach, clients, and the talent themselves about the benefits and challenges of this model, and discuss its potential for scaling and broader application.
Speakers: Abdi Ambari, Matthew Lloyd, Giselle Gonzales, Lorraine Charles, Mikal Afewerki, Susan Achiech.
Moderator: Drew Gardiner
Hosted By: Na'amal and EqualReach
