Voluntary donations, exaggerating religious affiliations, renting second homes and registering a child at a family’s address are just some of the methods parents are taking to get their child into the school of their choice. Recent research by Zoopla found 17 percent of parents either lie, bend or break admission rules to try to win a place at their preferred school. And a further 7 percent say they “have played the system” to their advantage. But are these methods unethical, or is it OK to bend the rules for your child’s future?
