Forsythia are an old-fashioned favorite with an attractive, upright spreading form. They are excellent, fast-growing shrubs, ideal for hedge planting, mixed borders, and a great backdrop for flowering shrubs and perennials. All Forsythia are deer resistant and require very little maintenance but they prefer well-drained soil conditions.
