Disclaimer
This video contains information on homeopathic remedies.
The purpose of creating this video is to spread information and knowledge about homeopathy.
We strongly discourage any self - consumption of medicine without a qualified doctor’s consultation.
We have developed this video around the emotion Anger and the prominent remedies associated with this Rubric.
In Homeopathy, we do not study a disease in a person, rather the person in disease
. Psychology is something that homeopathy deeply correlates with.
We will try to define anger psychologically and then look at it from homeopathic view point in form of RUBRICS.
What is Anger?
Anger is "an emotional state that varies in intensity from mild irritation to intense fury and rage," according to Charles Spielberger, a psychologist who specializes in the study of anger.
What causes Anger?
Anger can be caused by both external and internal events.
How one behaves when angry?
The instinctive, natural way to express anger is to respond aggressively.
People use a variety of both conscious and unconscious processes to deal with their angry feelings.
How to deal with anger? How to control Anger or manage Anger?
Anger management involves dealing with anger in three main ways.
These approaches for dealing with anger are - expressing, suppressing, and calming.
The external expression of anger can be found in facial expressions, body language, physiological responses, and at times public acts of aggression.
In homeopathy, mind rubric study is an important element for case taking. Rubrics in homeopathy guide how a particular symptom can vary across various remedies.
We have referred Kent’s repertory for rubrics. It is important to note here that in repertory one may find many terms that are closely related to anger.
Based on intensity, we have selected some major ones here:
Irritability rubric, quarrelsome rubric and rage rubric.
We have taken a cluster of 14 remedies which are covered under Rubric Anger.
To better distinguish these remedies – we have tried to organise the discussion under three heads –
1. the basic nature of personality,
2. anger trigger and
3. behaviour when angry.
We have covered following remedies under rubric anger:
Arsenic, Aurum met, Causticum, Chamomilla, Hyoscyamus, Ignatia, Kail Carb, Lachesis, Lycoipodium, Natrum mur, Nux vomica, Sepia, Staphysagria, Sulphur.
