The current couple, Maite and Theirry Franc, who are caring for this historic home, are absolutely charming! Remnants of the once fort-chateau are visible from the cellar, along with what would have been a kitchen at one point. A well in the garden was an airshaft to an underground tunnel, that traversed under the Garonne River. Sadly, this was accidentally destroyed in the last 20 years by a ship traversing the River.
