How To Design Rings with the Custom Engraving?
Handmade jewelry products became the latest Hottest Trend in jewelry making business. Etsy has so many different ideas and styles of handmade jewelry, that are authentic, different and unique. Wearing a handmade jewelry makes you feel special and loved. Giving it to a significant other as a gift becomes a memorable moment that turns into memory. I want to show you the process of making handmade jewelry customized by laser engraving.
Step 1: Getting Inspired and Imagine Creative Ideas of Unique Jewelry Design.
Think about your Perfect ring. How do you want it to be different from others? Get inspired by thinking about dreams, happiness, stories from books, special words and phrases that only you and your significant other can understand, quotes that describe the adventurous part of you. Think about trips, beautiful nature, and sightseeings. How does that make you feel about yourself and life? Is there a specific image of nature, animals, or signs that reminds you about special moments in life, and have a great significance for you? All of this can be an inspiration to create authentic designs, or matching sets for you and special ones. Getting inspired, and motivated is the most significant part to get started and create stunning jewelry pieces.
Step 2: Get Started: Write Down Your Ideas, Put on the Paper the Image or Design of the Ring, Take Photos
Once I have ideas about my unique jewelry style, I write them down, and start drawing the design. I choose different fonts for meaningful phrases, significant dates, or initials of someone special that is going to be engraved inside or outside of the ring, such as Always & Forever, I Love You To The Moon and Back, You Catched My Heart, etc.
In creation of jewelry designs I use my fantasy that has no limits. To create an engraving of the images I draw, take pictures, and use my best photography skills. I take pictures of nature, ocean, surfers catching big waves, palms, and birds foot prints left on the sand.
Step 3: Using Adobe Photoshop, and Illustrator Programs to Design the Rings
Once I have my ideas, and pictures, I start working with the Adobe Photoshop, and Illustrator to put my images online, and to create the design. Once the Design is ready, I convert it to vector file in order to be able to make an engraving.
Step 4: Using the Engraving Machine to Customize and Design the Ring
This part is the trickiest one. Although it might seem easy at first, actually it takes a lot of time and experience to learn how to give the right parameters to the program and to make an engraving on different jewelry pieces. Once the parameters are right, I put the ring inside the machine, and wait once ring will be ready.
Step 5: Final Results
Congratulations! Your Ring is ready. You can wear it, or give it as a gift.
