Ciara Doherty is joined by Sinn Féin President Mary Lou McDonald.
Ciara asks Mary Lou McDonald how Sinn Féin would tackle the cost of living & energy crisis.
McDonald points to Sinn Féin's winter proposal, which would include tiered cash payments & price caps for direct cash payment.
"Any individual earning over €70,000 would not be getting any direct cash payment under our plan."
Ciara critiques Sinn Féin's proposal, as she says that it actively excludes single people.
Ciara asks what is Sinn Féin's opinions on nuclear energy as Ireland is lacking dependable renewable energy.
McDonald tells her, "we don't support nuclear, we never have."
Rather, Mary Lou would hope to look at offshore wind as it is a "massive opportunity."
She tells Ciara Sinn Féin acknowledges that Ireland has a reliance on corporate tax receipts.
She hopes to still protect FDI investments, but to also introduce a wealth tax.
Mary Lou McDonald tells Ciara she does not worry about alienating republicans by acknowledging the grief of unionists. She tells Ciara that "at times she [the Queen] was a great champion of reconciliation."
She stands by her united Ireland ideal, stating that, "the unity of this island is the best plan for all."
