The Stanford Synchrotron Radiation Lightsource(SSRL) materials sciences division is conducting exciting, cutting edge research on sustainable energy materials with a focus on energy storage (batteries), photovoltaics (solar cells) and fuel cells. We are developing novel and unique instrumentation and methodologies to characterize these materials with an emphasis on in-situ and operando.
