Ingredients
2 cups of red lentils (washed thoroughly)
4 large onions
3 ripe tomatoes (peeled & blended)
1 tbsp of tomato past
Salt to you test
About 6tbsp of oil (you can add more or less)
1-2 tbsp of minced garlic
1-3 tbsp of berbere spice (depending on how spicy you like it)
2-3 tbsp of spoon of Ethiopian spiced butter (optional)
4 cubes of vegetable stock (totally optional, I only use for special occasion)
Cardamom (optional-you can still make without it if you don’t have it)
Side note: say, you have berbere spice but no butter, cardamom, veggie cubes, you can still make delicious misir wot with just the basic ingredient: onions, garlic, oil & berbere-(cause berbere has a lot of spice in it)
