Mnelisi Gasa (Grade 12) came third in the Anglo American / Sowetan Young Communicators Awards finals, taking 2nd runner. The final was held at the Birchwood Conference Centre, in Johannesburg on June, 20th. He walked away with a bursary worth R15, 000 and a R5, 000 cheque for the school. In the prepared speech section he presented his speech entitled I believe in tomorrow. Being frank and a little controversial about what he thinks, is what he attributes as his winning formula.I thought most of the questions werent hard except the one that came from the panel of adjudicators," he confidently said.
