In this video, a patient shares her experience with night-time halos/starbursts with the PanOptix IOL she has in one eye, compared to a basic MonoFocal IOL she has in the other eye. Her insight is very helpful!
While Multi-Focal lenses are expected to have more night-time halos/starbursts than MonoFocal lenses, they certainly have come a long way since first generation multifocal lenses. As technology advances, patients are more often able to enjoy great vision without glasses and with minimal adverse effects.
