Traditionally the festival’s Song Day takes place in Vilnius Vingis Park in the evening Statehood Day and the day of King Mindaugas’ coronation. There on the Park stage masses of young singers from all over the country performed. Song Day has one more nice tradition: at 9 pm local time a short interval is made so that Lithuanians all over the world could sing together the national anthem, Vincas Kudrika’s “Tautinę giesmę” (National Hymn).
