This is a Tool Assisted Speedrun which uses the dark boshy character and aims to complete the game as fast as possible. It was created by using the program hourglass to play the game frame by frame along with save states,

Glitches/Tricks
Every Frame Shots: Half way through the creation of the run I found that if I press the jump key one frame after the shoot key another bullet will be fired, even if you don't have a jump to use. This allowed me to kill bosses from then on extremely fast, most notably destroying missingno in one recovery.
Moon Walking: This is done by holding the left and right arrow keys, and it allows you to hold constant speeds lower than your max walking speed.
Riding Boxes: The boxes in world 9 can be ridden if you touch the top corner of the box and jump on the same frame, however in order to not fall out from them you have to spam jump very quickly.
RNG Manipulation: At missingno I delay skipping the cutscene by 4 frames in order to make it so that his first attack is recover. This would also be useful at gannon but I got the attack I wanted on the first frame.
Save Hovering: In World 11 if you hold shoot and jump you can spam the restart from save button to gain small amounts of distance into the air each time.
Save usage: In some areas of the game I use the saves to reset the position of objects so that I do not have to wait in order to pass them.
Sound loss: If you press S to skip to the megaman fight on the first frame that you are in his boss room the game sound will be lost.
Hourglass related issues
1. If you load a save state from a previous area the game will crash causing you to lose your save states, along with progress if you accidentally hit a save state farther back than you intended to use.
2. Depending on the area you run into some heavy display corruption after loading save states, making it much harder to see what you are doing. It can usually be lessened by going back to the state multiple times and letting the game run for a few frames.
3. Loading a save state that was before a save reload will cause the game to have very odd artifacts.
4. The game stutters at points where you made save states when playing back the movie, I lost around 10 seconds total due to this.
5. Boss rooms flash white, I haven't found any way to fix this via settings in hourglass. However it does not occur while playing the game frame by frame...only in playback.
Credits
xwidghet: TAS'd entirely by me.
kalemandu: If he hadn't been watching as I TAS'd the run, the run would have probably been around 30+ seconds slower as there was some things I didn't know about. (Like killing yourself at Missingno and how to do the hover)
irelandofendor: He said some useful information.
