Is Utopia of the Seas Too Wild? Our Shocking 1st Day Experience 🚢

Join us for Day 1 as we embark on an epic 3-day "World's Biggest Weekend" cruise aboard Royal Caribbean's newest ship, Utopia of the Seas. We brought along six friends who’ve never cruised before, and our mission is to find out whether this ship is truly the ultimate party destination—or if it's too much for families. From an exciting sail away party to late-night fun, we explore every corner of this massive ship.

We start by grabbing a quick bite at El Loco Fresh and some handcrafted margaritas at Cantina Fresca, followed by a wild sail away party with a Goombay Smash from The Lime and Coconut. You'll also get an inside look at our Ocean View Stateroom #10704 and everything it has to offer.

Dinner in the Main Dining Room was a feast, featuring spinach and artichoke dip, escargots, crispy crab cakes, and more, with dessert marking our 26th wedding anniversary! But we didn’t stop there—The Mason Jar served up Southern cocktails like the Smoked Old Fashioned and Mississippi Moonlight, all while we enjoyed live country music.

We were also surprised by a hilarious dinner moment when one couple showed up in custom Hawaiian outfits featuring Stephanie's face on one and mine on the other—this sparked tons of laughter and conversation!

The entertainment didn't disappoint either—from the high-energy "All In" show (with drones!) to rocking out at the Music Hall with live classic rock. We wrapped up the night with some Sorrento’s pizza because no cruise is complete without it!
