A marble cake is a cake with a streaked or mottled appearance achieved by very lightly blending light and dark batter. It can be a mixture of vanilla and chocolate cake, in which case it is mainly vanilla, with streaks of chocolate.
Ingredients & Process:
1/2 CUP MILK
1 TEASPOON VINEGAR
MIX & KEEP ASIDE FOR 5 MIN.
1/2 CUP OIL
MIX THE BUTTERMILK
1 CUP ALL PURPOSE FLOUR
1 CUP POWDER SUGAR
1 TEASPOON BAKING POWDER
1/4 TEASPOON BAKING SODA
2 TABLESPOON COCOA POWDER
2 TABLESPOON MILK
1/4 CUP CAKE BATTER
MIX WELL
6 INCH OIL GREASED MOULD
PUT 1/2 CUP WHITE CAKE BATTER
PUT THE CHOCOLATE CAKE BATTER
PUT REST OF THE CAKE BATTER
SWIRLING WITH A TABLE KNIFE IS BEST
COOK IT IN LOW MEDIUM HEAT FOR 50-55 MIN.
CAKE IS READY, COOL COMPLETELY
CLEAR THE EDGES
