Thought I'd try my own translation of this now somewhat classic Drop Pop Candy track by Reol and Giga.
The lyrics to this have been ably translated by Jubyphonics in the past. There are multiple ways you can interpret lyrics generally, Japanese lyrics more specifically and the abstract lyrics to this song in particular. So I've arrived at a pretty different interpretation.
Hopefully, this gives a different perspective on the song.
I also tried changing the original electronic arrangement to something that used only acoustic instruments - guitar, piano, thumb piano, toy piano etc.
I sang this together with Cat Cohn.
Here's the lyrics that I came up with:
