A journey to be cherished all life as it was my last journey by an Express Train in the Metre Gauge section of Uttar Pradesh. Journey was completed in June 2015 and the section was closed in less than a year.

IZN YDM4 pulls into Sitapur with Izzatnagar bound 5313 Aishbagh Izzatnagar Express. A few minutes later, the Ruhelkhand Express to Aishbagh pulls in from the opposite side. Thanks to the "First In Last Out" policy of MG sections in NER.
Pulling out of Aishbagh, we cross the Broad Gauge line and continue on our journey towards Lucknow. An eye catching crossing at a rural station is followed by a hustled entry into the suburbs of Lucknow. A short parallel action with Lucknow Central bound MEMU and a crossing with two Broad Gauge and one Meter Gauge trains. The second BG train to cross at Lucknow City was piloted by a female Loco Pilot, which although is rare inn India but gaining encouragement and popularity.
