The word "South Asia" has been used in recent times to describe the Indian Subcontinent and "South Asian Culture" to describe what is essentially Indian Culture and Civilization.

While the term "South Asia" has gained a lot of traction in progressive circles outside of India, many Indians have a problem with this term.
