In its first session under the 26th Amendment, Pakistan's Judicial Commission appointed Justice Aminuddin Khan as the head of a newly established seven-judge constitutional bench, following a seven-to-five majority vote. Chief Justice of Pakistan Yahya Afridi, along with four others, dissented in the decision. The bench includes representation from all four provinces with Justices Ayesha Malik, Jamal Mandokhail, Naeem Afghan, Muhammad Ali Mazhar, Hassan Azhar Rizvi, and Musarrat Hilali.
