Creating 3D images inside glass blocks with a high peak power frequency doubled Q-switched Vanadate laser. Typical block of the size shown in the video (~6 x 10cm) will have an image made up of 250,000 micro cracks each created by a high peak power pulse from the laser. The power density is only sufficient to get above the damage threshold at the focal plane. In conjunction with a face scanner, faces of people can be created inside blocks.
