It's unfolding itself like a beautiful horror story. Each day in Nusa Penida seem to present an increasingly broken down road, only to be rewarded with the next stunning view.

Nusa Penida's Broken Beach and Angel's Billabong lie close to each other and are both a fantastic experience. However, like many parts of Nusa Penida — especially the viewpoints—the roads are horrible.

Filled with holes, scattered sands on top of steep hills, scooter driving on Nusa Penida is not for the faint of heart.

If you're looking to explore and have a good time here, we strongly recommend the use of a tourist guide unless you're very comfortable driving on a scooter.

Angel's Billabong is famous for its stunning natural infinity pool. Its also famous for being one of the most dangerous tourist-spots on Nusa Penida.

While taking a swim in the beautiful infinity pool may at first seem like a fantastic idea, its proven to be beyond dangerous. The waves have suddenly come in and swept tourists away, claiming many lives.

Enough lives for the government to close off all access to the infinity pool, just days before our visit. Nusa Penida remains a beauty to be treaded carefully.
