“Our species has understood itself as being separated from nature to the point of forgetting and ignoring its fundamental interdependence and its responsibility to reciprocity with life,” says Isabel, a former climate diplomat representing her country of Colombia.
“This alienation from nature has resulted in extractive human relationships and a whole civilization based on limitless growth and endless pollution of the Earth.”
To address #climatechange as symptomatic of this multidimensional human identity crisis, Isabel explains that we must transition from a paradigm of separation and extraction to one of interdependence and care.
