At The Rockefeller Foundation today, we’re advancing major efforts in health, food, power and jobs through a collaborative approach to philanthropy that unlocks expertise, resources and networks with partners around the world.
In 2017, The Rockefeller Foundation was pleased to join Co-Impact under the leadership of Olivia Leland and in partnership with Richard Chandler, Bill & Melinda Gates, Jeff Skoll, Rohini and Nandan Nilekani, and a growing community of philanthropists. Just about one year later, Co-Impact is becoming the premier global platform for collaborative philanthropy with more than 25 funding partners from more than one dozen countries.
Today, Co-Impact is announcing its first round of grants valued at $80 million to improve education, health, and economic opportunity for an estimated 9 million people over the next five years across Africa, South Asia and Latin America. Each grant is an example of local organizations with proven track records well-positioned to bring about lasting change for millions around the world.
