Rainy tour up to treeline on Tenderfoot. The snowpack is thin overall, with just enough coverage to ski from the car. Below 2000' the snowpack was wet and unsupportable except in areas with prior tracks. Above 2000' there was a breakable crust on the surface and a couple inches of wet new snow. We saw active wind loading at upper elevations. Otherwise no obvious signs of unstable avalanche conditions. We dug a pit a 2500' and did not have any alarming results then turned around to avoid the windy conditions up higher.
