Chiesetta di San Giovanni in Ranui (or The church of San Giovanni in Ranui) is an iconic church in italian Dolomites, close to the village of Santa Maddalena. The small church in the heart of the beautiful Dolomites mountain landscape is certainly one of the most photographed sites of South Tyrol, Italy.
It is most known due to its beautiful scenic location in the Funes Valley in the Dolomites, just in front of the Geisler Peaks of the Puez-Geisler Nature Park. This makes this Church picture-perfect as it stands out in the green meadows surrounding.
The Baroque chapel dedicated to Saint John of Nepomuk with its onion-domed bell tower stands beneath the peaks of the Odle range.
