Transformers, released in 2007, is a science fiction action film directed by Michael Bay and written by Roberto Orci and Alex Kurtzman. Shia LaBeouf stars as Sam Witwicky, a teenager who becomes embroiled in a war between two factions of transforming alien robots—the heroic Autobots and the evil Decepticons—after he buys his first car, which turns out to be the Autobot Bumblebee. The battle for the AllSpark, a powerful artifact, takes place on Earth, with humanity caught in the crossfire. Supporting roles are played by Megan Fox, Josh Duhamel, Tyrese Gibson, and Jon Voight.
