May 14. 2018 | The place of faith and the role of the faithful in U.S. politics are often misunderstood and neglected, generate confusion and conflict, and are changing and challenging both religious communities, political leaders, and parties.
This is the second of three roundtable discussions on “Faith and the Faithful in U.S. Politics” and will focus on the role of religious voters and communities within the Republican Party. It offers an analysis of the religious dimensions of the Republican Party, its coalitions and agenda, and the impact President Trump has had on evangelical, Catholic, and other religious communities within the GOP.
