The SherpaX is incredibly versatile...and rugged!
This is a series of practices I do at the TPD SMART course roughly six to eight times a year to keep my skills from becoming perishable. Please check out the link below for the tactics and strategies taught to help keep riders safe.
You can see at the beginning of this exercise I came to a complete stop without putting my feet down. It is much easier to do WITH the trailer than WITHOUT. No, I am not as good as the motor officers. Normally it requires effort for me to stop without putting my feet own.
In the Offset Cone Weave it is clearly visible to see how the SherpaX tire tracks in line with my rear tire. On the T.P.D. SMART course I had it loaded with 20 - 25 lbs. of misc. stuff enclosed in a small Action Packer tote.
I had just returned from camping at Bahia Honda in the Florida Keys towing it with my Yamaha MT07. I Used the Interstate, Alligator Alley and the Florida Overseas Highway at a normal flow of speeds. It was a 900 mile round trip with side stops.
Basically I didn't even know it was behind me half the time.
I also use it as a daily driver and have put on 1,250 miles with the SherpaX since I received it two months ago.
I also have a separate industrial tote originally used for City recyclables that "I found" near my home.
I use the industrial tote to go get chlorine jugs for my pool. I have hauled four jugs with misc. hardware and will not do it again - even on side roads.
I frequently use my Yamaha MT07 and bring hiking gear with it to go hiking / camping.
I travel on fire / forest roads etc in Croom country north of the Tampa area. I shy away from group rides.
