(6 Oct 1994) Giorgio Armani, seeking to prove he still has the magic touch
despite corruption worries, unveiled his collection on Wednesday
night (5/10). Critics heaped praise on the designer, labelling his
show the best of the week in Milan. Armani brazenly bucked the
trend toward longer, knee-length skirts and used transparent
fabrics in a clever way. Fendi meanwhile unveiled a highly coloured
collection which promises to make next year visually exciting.
