Cycling the mountains of the Pyrenees

The long awaited cycling trip to the Pyrenees finally arrived. We decided to do some cycling on our road bikes in in the mountains rather than a bike tour in Belgium in the hope of better weather. It would be my first time cycling in mainland Europe and boy what a difference to the UK!

Die lang ersehnte Reise in die Pyrenäen war endlich da. Wir beschlossen, dass ich auf unseren Rennrädern in den Bergen unterwegs bin, statt auf einer Fahrradtour in Belgien in der Hoffnung auf besseres Wetter. Es wäre das erste Mal, dass ich auf dem europäischen Festland Rad fahren würde und was für ein Unterschied zu Großbritannien!
