Crafting is so much fun, but embellishments kick those projects up a notch! Today we are going to be making 5 simple embellishments to add charm to your projects.
Burlap flowers are so fun to make, and take only minutes to complete. I used a 5x5 piece of pink burlap, but you can use whatever size and color you prefer. Pull out the middle fibers, glue the ends, and roll it up. I added a cute button to the center of mine. Easy peasy!
You can't get much easier than Book Page Roses. Any type of paper would work for these. Trace a spiral, cut it out, twist it up, and call it done! I added a pearl to the center. They would also be pretty with water color paint on the ends, too!
For the Scrap Book Paper Flower, I used a 6 inch long piece of double-sided paper, and cut 6 strips that were 1/2 inch wide. Arrange the pieces like a clock face, and glue down. Bring each end to the center, glue down, then add your favorite bling! I added a button to finish mine.
Shabby Tassels are my favorite thing to make! I used 20 pieces in a combination of lace, ribbon, and fabric. My fabric was 6 inches wide, and 14 inches long, snipped and ripped into 1/2 inch strips. Stack them together, and tie them up for the perfect Shabby accent!
I used the method from Brooke Riley at Re-Fabbed to make the Messy Bow. Use your favorite ribbons to make this bow in minutes!
