On the viral video of two women being paraded naked by a mob, Manipur CM N Biren Singh said 'capital punishment will be awarded to the culprits'. He added that, 'we should respect our sisters, mothers, and elders', and that the Manipur police has made one arrest and further investigation is underway. A man who was part of the mob and was seen dragging one of the women was arrested Thursday.
