A Delhi court has directed Uber to pay ₹54,000 to Upendra Singh after a cab delay caused him to miss his flight. The Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission ruled it a 'deficiency in service.' Singh had booked a cab at 3:15 a.m. for his flight to Indore but no cab arrived, forcing him to take legal action after Uber failed to respond to his notice.
The compensation includes ₹24,100 for financial losses and ₹30,000 for mental distress and legal costs. The case highlights accountability issues with cab services.
