This one-hour webinar entitled, "Lung Cancer Screening: The Who-What-When-Where-Why" was presented on March 25, 2020. The webinar was co-hosted by the American Cancer Society's Comprehensive Cancer Control team and the National Lung Cancer Roundtable's State-Based Initiatives Task Group. Ella A. Kazerooni, MD, MS, Professor of Radiology & Internal Medicine, Associate Chair for Clinical Affairs & Director of Cardiothoracic Radiology at the University of Michigan Medicine presented. Screening with low-dose spiral CT scans has been shown to decrease the risk of dying from lung cancer in heavy smokers. This webinar gave an overview of who is eligible for lung cancer screening and what the data is telling us about its potential impact on lung cancer.
