A bikepacking zest adventure from Newton Mearns, Glasgow to Garelochhead, Argyll and Bute. This forms part of a 729 mile Journey from the Mull of Galloway to Dunnet Head near John o' Groats.
A "dipping of the toe in the water" to experiment with Bike packing gear and determine fitness level for multi-day trips. Forming part of my cardiac recovery - extending my 'operating envelope' in steady stages. The Oban to Glasgow train line was used for the return journey. Many kit and fitness insights gained to assist planning of future stages.
Thanks to Neil Henderson and Jim Cameron who "beat the trail".
