It is the second time I've been Yunnan province in China, every time I went to different places and encounter a different China. You will see how diverse of the landscape and culture in Yunnan, and if you ever ask me which province you should go in China, I will highly recommend "Yun Nan".

Tengchong 腾冲, located in Baoshan City, west of Yunnan province, borders with Myanmar. It is well known for its volcanic activity and a part of Silk Road in ancient China. It is one of the most popular tourist destination for Chinese, alone with a thriving economy, culture, and beautiful ecological environment.

As a city surrounded by a group of volcanoes, it abounds in plenty of geothermal energy. Volcanic landscape such as Volcanic lake, cave, columnar jointing dominates the area. Tengchong hence is renowned as the "Volcanic Museum" in China. You can go hiking in the Gaoligong Mountains or simply relax in one of the hot spring.

As is the case for most of Yunnan, Tengchong has many different ethnicities living in and around the town. You can visit the ancient village, try different food and unvein the China you've never seen.
