In this episode I walk you all through my first moments finding true altum angels (Pterophyllum altum) along the Atabapo River. I give details on the species that I saw alongside P. altum, details of the biotope, and talk about the discovery of P. altum.

Later on in the episode I discuss the species of Severum cichlid (Heros severus, Heros liberifier, and the undescribed Heros sp. Inírida, their habitat preferences, distribution, ecological barriers, and how it explains the presence of P. altum in the Upper Rio Negro.
